Five Things About Being Back in Class

1.  My laptop is my best friend.  Even though it is a PC.

2.  I go through a lot of gum.  It helps me think without taking in a lot of calories.

3.  I will wear out at least two highlighters per semester.

4.  Sleep is a luxury.  Studying is not.

5.  It's another step closer to my becoming an RN.

What's so great or awful about being back in class?

Five Things About My Parents

1.  They are completely devoted to one another.

2.  They taught me to love God , work hard, and serve others.

3.  They still smooch after prayer over a meal.

4.  They gave me the gift of music.

5.  They are finally spending their first anniversary with no children at home.  It only took 40 years!

What's unique about your parents?

Five Things About Sisters

1.  Growing up, we shared two bedrooms between the six of us.  And they were NOT big rooms.

2.  We have 18 children combined.

3.  I don't see two of them as often as I'd like.  I won't name names, but their initials are Katrina and Gayla.

4.  I may be the oldest, but I marvel at each of them as mothers.  They are amazing!

5.  I.  Love.  Them!

Five Things About My Brothers....(a pictorial list)

They are big, burly men.  Don't mess with them.  Except Kason on the end (in green).  He's fun to mess with.  Oh, and the brother in the picture frame is on a mission.  Kinda unavailable to be photographed.

They make sure that they are properly groomed at all times.  Including the nasal cavity.  Especially the nasal cavity.

They are camera-ready.  Even if it's not their turn.

They make sure every picture turns out great.  And every member of the family is clearly seen.

You don't want to know where this was going to lead.....all of us were a little scared.  But you get an idea of what kind of humor they're into.

So, what do you love about your brothers?

Five Things About The Summer Olympics

1.  I totally get into sports that I normally don't care a whit about.  Like water polo.  And somehow, through watching it....I become an expert.  But not really.

2.  I will turn it on and just let it run in the background, because it's on TV 28 hours a day.  I don't pay attention to all 28 hours, but I love just having it on.  This means I'm willing my teams to victory, if in spirit only, right?

3.  I am amazed at how flexible men are in gymnastics.  And how buff women are in their upper bodies in swimming.  Holy.  Cow.

4.  I root for the USA, but also root for another country at the same time.  This Olympics, I've chosen Italy.  Viva Italia!  (Or something like that.)

5.  I'm a sucker for the opening ceremonies and have to watch the whole thing, and am sad when the closing ceremonies roll around.  I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I just plain love the Olympics.

Five Things About Packing To Move

1.  I may grumble to my sweet husband about how much C-R-A-P he has, but I've found that my C-R-A-P is mostly hanging up on the walls.

2.  I get to pare down what I have into what I really love.  Those things I keep.

3.  I've dusted places that haven't seen a duster in eight years.  Grody, I know.

4.  Friends who bring me boxes are my true friends.

5.  I'm so glad I have three great helpers who have made this so much easier than when we did this eight years ago.

What do you love/hate about packing and moving?

Five Things About Sonic Diet Cherry Limeade

1.  It's the only thing I order from Sonic 99% of the time.

2.  That lime twist gives it a sour kick I kinda like.

3.  I can get it 1/2 price during happy hour.  Yaya!

4.  Eating the ice when the drink is gone?  The best!

5.  I hate maraschino cherries.  But I eat the one in the drink every time just to make sure I still hate them.  And I always do.

1.  There was is never a dull quiet moment when we get together.

2.  Family vacations consisted of camping, because it was inexpensive.

3.  Room sharing was mandatory.

4.  My Mama is a very good cook....boy, did we eat good!

The first day of school....back in 2005.  Time flies!

1.  My kids get up early and raring to go to school.  The only school day this ever happens.

2.  No homework tonight!

3.  No more reminding Noodle to pack his lunch.  At least for three more months.

4.  It feels like you've been paroled.  Not that I've ever known that feeling.

5.  Bedtime schmedtime....who cares tonight?
